The Pears Are Ready!!
Good Earth Organic Farm’s pears are perfect for
canning, smoothies, soups, sauces and purees!!
They also make a perfect cider!!
They’re great for tucking into a child’s lunch for a healthier snack option or
making authentic organic baby food, (without all of the preservatives)!!
We love them crisp, but if you prefer them softer you can follow one of these methods
to reach your favorite texture and ripeness!!
* Place under ripe pears in a fruit bowl at room temperature near other ripening fruit like bananas or apples, which naturally give off ethylene and will help speed up the ripening process.
* Place pears in a paper bag and leave them on the counter.
They will happily ripen within 2-4 days.
* Placing them in the refrigerator keeps them good for several weeks!
