**** Our organic garden produces
seasonal produce about an hour Northeast of Dallas. We hope you can
enjoy LOCAL, FRESH PRODUCE that is in season ! Not sure what seasonal
produce is anymore ??? Stick with us and find out.

Slight reduction in egg
production during mid-July. A beautiful, healthy, six foot Texas rat snake was
eating a few dozen eggs a week and alarming the hens. We finally caught
her in one of the nestboxes. These snakes
help control the mouse and rat population in our hay barn and other
outbuildings. When she ran out of mice, she dined on our
delicious eggs. We re-located her to the back forty to help eliminate mice
and cotton rats from the recycle yard. Now the hens can relax and the snake
can do her job.
